Making savings last after losing my job (update)

We are a household of 6 and need to cut costs quickly. It has been a long 17 weeks. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $550 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
