Making savings last after losing my job (Raleigh)

I have 14 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a sales associate. I worked as a sales associate before this. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. Did any lender work with you?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.
