Making savings last after losing my job - first time posting

We are a household of 5 and need to cut costs quickly. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What did you cut first?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
