Making savings last after losing my job - first time posting

My income dropped to unemployment benefits and my bills have not changed. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
