Making savings last after losing my job - first time posting

We are a household of 8 and need to cut costs quickly. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What helped the most?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $600 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
