Making savings last after losing my job

I have 12 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a bank teller. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
