Making savings last after losing my job

I have 4 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a hotel front-desk agent. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. Did any lender work with you?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
