I have 8 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a janitorial supervisor. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What helped the most?

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
