Making savings last after losing my job (Cincinnati)

I have 4 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a security officer. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What helped the most?

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $250 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
