Making savings last after losing my job, bookkeeper here

My income dropped to unemployment benefits and my bills have not changed. I worked as a bookkeeper before this. Rent and the car are the biggest costs.

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $500 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
