Making savings last after losing my job - any advice?

I have 8 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as an electrician's helper. It has been weighing on me all week. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What did you cut first?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
