Making savings last after losing my job - any advice?

I have 6 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a call-centre agent. There are 11 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What helped the most?

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.
