Making savings last after losing my job - any advice?

I have 6 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as an event coordinator. I am in Honolulu, in case local advice matters. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.
