Making savings last after losing my job - any advice?

I have 10 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as an insurance claims processor. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
