Making savings last after losing my job - any advice?

We are a household of 3 and need to cut costs quickly. I do not usually post, so bear with me. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $1000 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
