Making savings last after losing my job after 7 years as a welding apprentice

I have 2 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a welding apprentice. I have been trying to stay organised about it. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What helped the most?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $1150 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
