Making savings last after losing my job after 3 years as an electrician's helper

I have 6 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as an electrician's helper. I am in Raleigh, in case local advice matters. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. Did any lender work with you?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $900 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.
