Making savings last after losing my job after 13 years as a store manager

I have 6 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a store manager. It has been a long 20 weeks. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. Did any lender work with you?

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.
