Making savings last after losing my job

I have 4 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a teaching assistant. Any experience at all would help. Rent and the car are the biggest costs.

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $500 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.
