Making savings last after losing my job - 5 months and counting

I have 5 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a paralegal. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
