Making savings last after losing my job - 22 weeks in

My income dropped to unemployment benefits and my bills have not changed. I worked as a data-entry clerk before this. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What helped the most?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
