Making savings last after losing my job

I have 12 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a paralegal. There are 14 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Rent and the car are the biggest costs.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.
