Making savings last after losing my job - 2 weeks in

I have 4 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a machine operator. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
