Making savings last after losing my job

I have 2 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a software tester. There are 13 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Rent and the car are the biggest costs.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
