Making savings last after losing my job - 17 weeks in

My income dropped to unemployment benefits and my bills have not changed. Any experience at all would help. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What helped the most?

Subscriptions first, then the phone plan. I saved about $550 a year just by switching to a cheaper plan.

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
