Making savings last after losing my job - 16 weeks in

We are a household of 4 and need to cut costs quickly. It has been a long 16 weeks. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What did you cut first?

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
