Making savings last after losing my job - 12 months and counting

I have 12 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as a payroll clerk. I worked as a payroll clerk before this. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What helped the most?

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.
