Making savings last after losing my job - 11 months and counting

We are a household of 9 and need to cut costs quickly. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am nervous about the credit card minimums. What did you cut first?

Ask your utility about hardship programmes. Mine knocked a bit off my bill for several months.
