Making savings last after losing my job - 11 months and counting

I have 11 months of savings and I am trying to stretch them after being let go as an accounts payable clerk. Rent and the car are the biggest costs. What helped the most?

I called the landlord and the card company early. Both offered a short payment plan, which I did not expect.
