Low days while job hunting - any advice?

I sent 8 applications and heard nothing back, and I am running low on energy. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I keep comparing myself with friends who are working. What helps you on bad days?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
