Low days while job hunting - any advice?

After a layoff as a security officer I am finding mornings difficult. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I am sleeping badly and snapping at people. What helps you on bad days?

Many counselling centres have sliding-scale rates. I found one through 211, and it made a difference.
