Low days while job hunting after 12 years as a teaching assistant

After a layoff as a teaching assistant I am finding mornings difficult. Any experience at all would help. I keep comparing myself with friends who are working. Did it pass?

A fixed routine helped me most: up at the same time, one hour of job search, then a walk. Small but it worked.
