Layoffs across my industry, where did you pivot? - what worked for you?

Three companies in Boise cut staff in the same month. I am in Boise, in case local advice matters. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere. Which areas are hiring?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
