Layoffs across my industry, where did you pivot? (update)

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as a nurse's aide. Any experience at all would help. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
