Layoffs across my industry, where did you pivot? (update)

Our sector has been shrinking and I am unsure if I should wait it out. It has been a long 3 weeks. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere. How did you choose?

A short certificate helped me more than a new degree would have. Check what local colleges offer.

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
