Layoffs across my industry, where did you pivot? (update)

Three companies in Raleigh cut staff in the same month. I worked as a line cook before this. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere.

Look at job postings to see which skills repeat, then fill the gap. That gave me a direction.
