Layoffs across my industry, where did you pivot? - any advice?

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as an operations analyst. There are 14 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have transferable skills but no direct experience elsewhere. How did you choose?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
