Layoffs across my industry, where did you pivot? after 9 years as an insurance claims processor

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as an insurance claims processor. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. How did you choose?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
