Layoffs across my industry, where did you pivot? after 3 years as a software tester

Our sector has been shrinking and I am unsure if I should wait it out. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more.

Look at job postings to see which skills repeat, then fill the gap. That gave me a direction.
