Layoffs across my industry, where did you pivot? after 18 years as an administrative assistant

Our sector has been shrinking and I am unsure if I should wait it out. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. How did you choose?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
