Layoffs across my industry, where did you pivot? after 10 years as an insurance claims processor

Our sector has been shrinking and I am unsure if I should wait it out. This is my first time dealing with any of this. The postings I see are fewer and ask for more. Who has switched fields?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.
