Layoffs across my industry, where did you pivot?

Many of the people I know in my field were laid off this year, including me as an insurance claims processor. Any experience at all would help. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. Who has switched fields?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
