Layoffs across my industry, where did you pivot?

Three companies in Portland cut staff in the same month. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I am open to a pay cut if the field is stable. How did you choose?

I moved into operations work. The skills carried over and there were more openings than in my old field.

Look at job postings to see which skills repeat, then fill the gap. That gave me a direction.
