Layoff notice, what does the 60 days mean? - any advice?

Our team was told about a closure date that is 23 weeks away. It has been a long 23 weeks. Some colleagues are already leaving. Has anyone been through this?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
