Layoff notice, what does the 60 days mean? - 5 weeks in

Our team was told about a closure date that is 5 weeks away. There are 4 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. They offered a retention bonus for people who stay. Has anyone been through this?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
