Layoff notice, what does the 60 days mean? - 3 weeks in

Our team was told about a closure date that is 3 weeks away. I worked as a procurement assistant before this. I do not know if I should start looking now or wait for severance news. Has anyone been through this?

Start your search early. I wish I had begun the day of the notice.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
