Layoff happened 9 days ago, feeling lost - what worked for you?

I was let go as a hotel front-desk agent this week and I am still in shock. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
