Layoff happened 9 days ago, feeling lost (Pittsburgh)

I was let go as an accountant this week and I am still in shock. I am in Pittsburgh, in case local advice matters. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.
