Layoff happened 9 days ago, feeling lost - first time posting

I was let go as a home health aide this week and I am still in shock. I am in Phoenix, in case local advice matters. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 11 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
