Layoff happened 8 days ago, feeling lost - what worked for you?

They called a meeting on Monday and 8 of us were let go. I had been there 8 years. Any experience at all would help. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
